ENGLISH LANGUAGE LAB

In the current digital age, we all are connected regardless of the geographic distance. The advancement in the technology has metaphorically brought our world into our living room in the form of TV or Internet.
The advancement of technology has exposed to multilingual and multicultural world. The communication proficiency and digitalization of the entire experience of English language has remained a challenging task in KVS. The ICT revolution has transformed our education per se and training of communication skills. The LANGUAGE LAB can greatly help acquire language skills using ICT and students can learn at their own pace today. The communication skills are essential today in almost all the professional careers and LANGUAGE LAB can help in acquiring this important skills. Hence, realizing the importance , KVS has taken great initiatives and has allocated some fundamental requirements for setting up of Language Labs in Kendriya Vidyalayas and PM SHRI KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA JAKHOO HILLS, SHIMLA being one of them.

INFRASTRUCTURES

Our school has a separate, spacious and acoustic language lab is well supplied with high tech audio-visual equipment based on advanced technology. The software being used is of high standard. OPERATION – The effective implementation of the LANGUAGE LAB is COMPLETED.

Students ARE obtaining training in skills such as communication proficiency. The software will evolve as the implementation initiative of ICT enabled culture of learning the software based activities and initiatives will serve as empowerment wing concerning communication skills and other.

OUR OBJECTIVE

Provide students and facilitate a team and interactive teaching and learning process. Impart innovative activities in acquiring language skills among students and staff. Bring verity of teaching learning process instead of boring verbal teaching. Discourage miscommunication due to direct sound transmission.
Enable correct pronunciation Discourage hesitation among students and staff while communication.

It provides equal opportunity to all the students to hear the instructors irrespective of their place where ever they are seated. There will be less miscommunication because of direct sound transmission. It provides the privacy that encourages the shy students to speak without hesitation. Language Lab encourages students to speak freely and loose inferiority complex. It develops listening and communication skills of students.
It enables correct pronunciation The Student progress can be monitored regularly so that teacher can provide feedback based on individual pace.
